India is one of the world's largest peanut producers. Indian peanuts come in different varieties: Bolds, Javas and Red Natals; and has a rich flavor, sweet taste, crispy texture and relatively longer shelf life.

Peanuts in India are available all year round due to a two-crop harvest cycle in March and October. On average, India produces 7-8 million tons of peanuts (in shell) every year. In fact, considering the current export figures, India has a much greater potential to supply high quality groundnuts to international buyers.
There are 2 main types of Indian imported peanuts:
BOLD type includes sizes 40-50, 50-60 - large and long seeds, brown-yellow silk skin, high essential oil content, often imported for oil pressing, as raw materials for processing peanut candy, peanut butter, raw materials for confectionery products,...
JAVA types include sizes 50-60, 70-80, 80-90, small and round seeds, bright pink and white silk skin, often used in family meals, as raw materials for product processing,...
